SCHOLASTIC FITNESS: NATIONAL POLICY

Proof of satisfactory progress in school is required. EVERY player/cheerleader must submit the final 4th quarter report card BEFORE participating

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A 2.0/70% GRADE POINT AVERAGE?

We understand that not all student-athletes are able to meet our scholastic requirements. If a child does not meet the requirements of scholastic fitness, his/her parent may fill out and submit a Scholastic Eligibility Form.

This will be followed up with a progress report part way through the 1st Quarter. If progress is not shown, the player shall be found ineligible for the rest of the year.

East Providence Junior Townies 2018 Scholastic Awards

The East Providence Jr Townies recognizes our top performing student athletes for their exceptional academic performance. Based on the end of year report cards from the 2017-2018 academic school year, our Jr Townies with an average end of year grade above 90% are:

Last year we had 3 nominees from the Jr Townies and we are proud to announce that last year Georgia Michael from Division 14 Cheer was awarded the AYF AAA Carl Alagretti Scholarship.

This year we have 6 eligible nominees based on end of year 2017-2018 higher than a 96% overall average. Certificates of national recognition will be received in the mail from American Youth Football and Cheerleading for Academic Achievement.
